Twisted Oak Trails hosts an off-road duathlon (Run-Bike-Run) and trail run only option (Twisted Dash). This event benefits the Project Peacock robotics team.
Project Peacock, based in Tulsa, OK, competes in the FTC division in FIRST. FIRST is the world’s leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM education. The team has a roster of ten students ranging from 7-12 grade from various schools. The students design, build, and program their robots each year for the competitions. Project Peacock had the honor of representing the state of Oklahoma for a second year in a row in the World Championships for the 2023/24 season!

Proceeds from Du Twisted & Twisted Dash will go towards helping fund the Project Peacock Team into the 2024/25 season!
Now, more about the RACE! The race will be a mass start for all categories, ranging from solo racers, two-racer teams, and those competing in the trail run only category. The trails system uses two separate courses - one for the run and a separate bike course. The run course utilizes the trail system to the south of the property, a 2.5 mile loop with over 315’ of elevation gain! The run course makes its way up to the two highest points on the property and back down to the valley floor crossing with three creek crossings.
The bike course starts out on the more technical parts of the loop navigating through boulders and a steep hillside. A mile in it crosses the main creek making it’s way to 3 miles of flowing trail with many gradual elevation changes, and once again crossing the main creek and finishing the last mile on the steep hillside back to the bike/run transition area. The venue is very spectator friendly with beautiful views of the valley. In the weeks leading up to the event, we will have the property open on designated days for racers to preview the course!
